ABOUT US
Dedicated to Empowering Students in STEM
Welcome! We're Arshia and Faith, two University of Maryland graduates who believe that learning works best when it feels supportive, personal, and a little less intimidating. Between us, we bring years of hands-on teaching experience to every session, and we're here to help you understand the material, not just memorize it.
Arshia Ashtian
Arshia Ashtian graduated cum laude from the University of Maryland with a degree in Biological Sciences: Physiology and Neurobiology. As a pre-med student currently working as a medical assistant, Arshia balances real clinical experience with a genuine love for teaching. Over two years as a teaching assistant, Arshia supported students across. Three different courses: Anatomy and Physiology II, Mammalian Physiology, and Cellular and Molecular Neuroscience. That experience means knowing not just the material, but the spots where students tend to get stuck and how to help them through it.

Faith Anne Acuesta
Faith Anne Acuesta earned two degrees from the University of Maryland: Biochemistry and Biological Sciences: Physiology and Neurobiology. Now working at a private biotech firm, Faith brings a strong research and laboratory background to tutoring. With three years of tutoring experience and a year as a teaching assistant in a Molecular and Cellular Biology lab, Faith is comfortable breaking down complex concepts and meeting each student exactly where they are.
Why Choose Us?
We truly believe that through education and dedication, excellence is inevitable. Hard work paired with the right guidance has a way of turning struggle into understanding, and understanding into confidence. We've seen it happen in our own academic journeys, and we've seen it happen with the students we've taught. Our goal is to walk alongside you through that process, celebrating the progress and helping you push through the hard parts.
We also believe that quality education should be accessible. Too often, great tutoring comes with a price tag that puts it out of reach for the students who could benefit most. That's why we've committed to keeping our rates affordable, at $30 per hour, so that strong, personalized support is something more students can actually say yes to. Good help shouldn't be a luxury.
Finally, we care about giving back. Beyond one-on-one tutoring, we hope to grow our outreach and reach students in our community who might not otherwise have access to academic support. Education has shaped both of our lives, and we want to extend that same opportunity to others wherever we can.
